Today is International Women’s Day celebrating all the great things women have done from the beginning of time to now. Of course, there are countless women I could name from history, that have revolutionized the way we operate today but I don’t want anyone to feel left out, so we’ll leave names out and just honor them all together.
This is a post from my personal Facebook page that I sent to all of my female friends on my friend’s list:
I’m not going to highlight anyone in particular as I’ve already stood up for women my entire life, every day of my life. See, once upon a time, when I was 9, we had this girl who was a bully to a lot of people at my school, and she was physically fighting me and a couple friends…She then bit my arm to the point of drawing blood, so I slapped her across the face. EVEN THEN, I felt bad for what I did, and apologized to her when she came back from her suspension (at my own accord). Since then, I’ve never hit a woman and I’ll beat the hell out of those who do. I’ve never been like other guys, where my only goal is to pursue ass, where I waste money on a girl shaking her ass on my lap, I don’t do one night stands, and I care more about seeing you smile than seeing you naked…And, I certainly don’t follow that alleged law of “Talk shit, get hit” bullshit where men try to justify hitting a woman. It takes more strength and courage to walk away, than it does to swing at one. Keep your hands to yourself, f*ck boy.
But I will say this, you’re more than a pretty face, you’re more than a piece of ass, you’re more than a sexual object of desire. You have a mind that’s capable of great things, a heart that is strong enough to overcome the worst of your battles and you have the ability to potentially be an inspiration to all in some way or another. Never mind what the media says, what anyone in the White House says, what the bitter ex-boyfriend says or what the jealous current boyfriend says, or anyone…BE YOU. Don’t be afraid of showing the world who you are and who you can be.
I hope I’m there with you when you realize and fulfill your truest potential and show the world the Super Woman you are. #InternationalWomensDay
“Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it.” – Confucius
I see that beauty, so let it shine bright, ladies.
Being a die hard Patriots fan and being a Defender of the Wall – One who stands up against corruption and unfairness within the NFL for a mere sport, we often face ridicule from even our own kind, in this case, other Patriots fans and fans from other fanbases alike. And, if you look to MLK, even those close to him told him he was wasting his time and look at how that turned out. I’m saying this because not every woman in the world is going to empower herself or allow herself to be empowered, and there’s even some, who truly think they’re goddesses and will treat all others like they’re beneath them. Don’t let even women tell you who you are, ladies – Don’t fall prey to their callous, cold-hearted, man-like behavior of manipulation, dishonesty and deceit. No matter what anyone says, whether man, woman or child, you be you and do what makes you happy, and fight for the things you love. Who cares what others think of you? All that matters is what you think.
If you find yourself struggling in life, when you’re done reading this, go into your bathroom, look at yourself in the mirror, and tell yourself this:
I’m beautiful just the way I am. My heart and my mind matter. I have the strength and the courage to rise above any and all trials that life throws at me. I will overcome. I got this. You got this!
Take a few post it notes, write some compliments on them and post them around your house, in places that you normally see in your every day routine, and be reminded constantly of your qualities and your strength, and your beauty. Over time, you will learn to love yourself without falling in love with yourself, and you will find the materials needed to rise up and above yourselves, to be the very best version of yourself you can be. It’s called “The Laws of Attraction” – When all you hear all your life that you don’t matter, you will come to believe it…but when you are positively reinforced constantly, you will also come to believe in that too, and what’s all you need to become whoever it is you wish to be…unfortunately, we can’t always depend on others to help us here, but YOU have the power and ability to push your own self to your greatest potential.
The Defenders of the Wall pay homage to women today, as we do every day, fighting a corrupt system that employs lowly men of abuse and rape, and we will continue to be Patriots of Virtue to Defend Them All.
Though we would like to give a special shout out to Tom Brady‘s mother, who’s battling cancer, Galynn Brady. For your mom, Brady. Our hearts and prayers, and good will are with you and your family always.
