FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION (FTC) FILING
A fellow “Defender” who resides in Chicago, followed my lead and filed a similar Consumer Complaint with the Illinois AG’s office that was subsequently transferred to the New York AG’s Office for jurisdictional reasons. At the same time, the IL AG’s Office filed the complaint with the FTC. We, in turn, pushed the MA Attorney General to do the same, ultimately filing our complaint with the FTC ourselves.
The hope was that our Consumer Complaints would be entered into the FTC’s database and could be used in the future in any (Deflategate) related legal cases.
Email to MA AG’s Office, urging the AG to forward a copy of the complaint to the FTC for action or at least filing in their database (for uture reference. I outlined the story of Tom Delahanty, living in Chicago, who followed our lead and filed a similar Consumer Complaint vs the NFL in Illinois. That complaint was later forwarded to New York for jurisdictional reasons, with a copy being sent to the FTC.
After not receiving feedback from the MA AG on my request to forward my Consumer Complaint to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), I submitted the complaint directly with the FTC, who filed the complaint in their database.
Tom Delahanty’s Consumer Complaint (Filed in the state of Illinois) was accepted by the FTC, who responded that they would be keeping the complaint on file for future reference in any related, impending cases.
